Operation of Ludlum Model 25 DRD

On/Ack:

Press On button for approximately 1 sec. to activate.

Press On for approximately 5 sec. to deactivate, it will beep and the screen will go blank.

Press On to silence during Alert/Alarm. In the event of a prolonged Alarm condition, the alarm will begin to sound again after 1 minute.

Mode:

Rotates display from Rate to Dose to Time Remaining

Alert/Alarm conditions:

Exposure Alert: Activated at 2mR/hr. Alert will appear in the display below the measured rate and a slow repeating beep will be heard.

Exposure Alarm: Activated at 10mR/hr. Alarm will appear under the display which will rotate between Rate, Dose, and Time remaining. A fast repeating beep will be heard.

Dose Alert: Activated at 10R. Alert will appear under the dose display and a slow double beep will be heard.

Dose Alarm: Activated at 50R. Alarm will appear under the dose display and a fast double beep will be heard.

Note: Under normal usage conditions the dose alert/alarm should NOT be activated.

Resetting accumulated dose to zero will be done by Accelerator Staff as part of the quarterly safety systems checks. Quarterly accumulated doses will be recorded in the calibration records for these DRDs.
